AM JAM Series Closes Out Round Seven
YMCA SKATEPARK - Vegas AM JAM recently wrapped up round
seven of skateboard and BMX competition leading into this
month’s final preliminary round at Winchester Park.
One month later, on October 23, BMXers and skateboarders
will have one final chance to strut their stuff at the
Vegas AM JAM finals at Metro Park.
“It was a fun competition and I can’t wait
until the next one at Winchester Park,” said Kyle
Westen. “I didn’t place this round, but I have
one more chance before the big finals. I really need to
practice.”
In the Skateboard Intermediate 13 and under competition,
Andrew Tomich took first place, Charles
Ryan Barringer took second place and Tyler
Sanchez finished third. Meanwhile
in the Skateboard Intermediate 14 and over, Mitch
Curtis finished first, Jonathon
Almarez finished second and TJ
Santos took third. Steve Osbourne won the Skateboard Advanced
competition with Patrick Gilroy placing second and Kyle
Pouch finishing third.
Chris Crawford led all BMXers to take the BMX Intermediate
competition, followed by Cody Martin in second and Patrick
Butters in third. In the advanced category, Thomas
Smith was first, Dustin was second and Josh
Warzecha took third.
In the Inline Intermediate, Josh Thompson finished first,
Brandon Giffen was second and Charles
Ryan Barringer finished
third.
Registration and practice for the Winchester Park competition
start at 8:00 a.m. with the competition starting at 10:00
